We may represent different industries but we are all working toward the same goal: a thriving business community in Northland.

What can I expect to gain from joining Connect?
One of our core values is Reciprocity. This means that when you give, you receive. Combined with building trusted relationships, other members in the group (and the people they know) will begin to refer work your way. You will also learn valuable skills such as personal development, public speaking, and how to deliver an elevator pitch in 60 seconds. You’ll also gain industry insights from the other members in the group.
What are the rules of this business networking group?
The rules are mostly based around showing up to the meetings. If you can’t make it then you will need to send someone in your place to represent your business. This could be a staff member, a customer or colleague. Our group generates referrals organically without the pressure (or fines) to have to give referrals. Unlike many other networking groups, we don’t track referrals given.
Is there a cost to come to the meeting?
Your first two meetings are free. We recommend that you come along and visit the group to ensure it is the right fit for you first. From there on, the cost to join is $400 per year.
When and where are your meetings?
Meetings happen on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday afternoon of every month, at the Whangarei Cruising Club on 212 Riverside Drive. Arrive at 3.45pm for a 4pm start and finishing at 5pm.
Am I expected to talk at the meeting?
Yes, absolutely, please do! At every meeting, you have the opportunity to introduce yourself and speak about your business for 60 seconds. If you’ve become an approved member of Connect, you can hold a 10 min presentation and really shine!
